~ Biography ~
Jasmine Marie was born on the 17th of January, 1990 in Seattle, WA to a family of artists who were nomadic in nature. Here mother is a fine art (murals and oil on canvas) and a father who is a published author. Her brothers and sisters, as well, are all artists.
Since the age of 3, she decided to live out her life as a successful artist. She first began designing her own clothing fashions by 5, and all while growing up expanded into new arts along the way.
At age 9 she started acting, directing and writing with her siblings. And by 12, she had already started writing her first few songs, singing and establishing an eye for photography and directing.
By 13 she began basic screenwriting. After moving to Clearwater, FL, she flourished artistically. She worked hard at developing and writing two scripts as well as a trilogy for the silver screen by age 14. She's currently enrolled in the Actor's Class, coached by John Parsonson. John himself learned directly from film great, Milton Katselas.
Receiving vocal coaching and dance lessons at 15 and attending acting class for 3 years, she has also completed several dozen fashion designs, completed a novel, several novelettes and approximately 8 screenplays and dozens of illustrations. She performed with a local acting troupe for a year, successfully performing 3 shows, and was featured in several film shoots and a student film.
She has sold drawings to writer/street performer Wade Henry for inclusion in his book "The Greatest Finale". She has donated many illustrations to charity groups, etc.
In the downtown Clearwater art scene, she's read her own poetry on open mic, sang on stage for Christmas events, and for several years running has donated time to the Florida Sunscreen Film Festival to bestow trophies at each year's awards ceremony. She is a local favorite of photographers due to her photogenic presence on camera.
Her hobbies include spending time with family and friends, movies and music, sports, helping with community activities, as well as reading and learning.
